Our Story

When Jeffrey Melaragno left the corporate world, he had a goal: to create a unique business that addressed an unmet need in an area of work that he enjoyed. The Small Jobs Company, LLC was born. 

The Small Jobs Company is a Fairfield, Connecticut based small business that provides services that make home ownership more enjoyable and more manageable. The idea is to enable customers to make one call and to have the customer hear “yes, we do that”.
 

While the list of services offered by The Small Jobs Company is nearly limitless, some of the work that the company has recently completed includes: replacing light fixtures and outlets; building a fireplace mantle; installing custom wainscoting; painting rooms; remodeling a basement; building a laundry chute and closet shelves; constructing and installing custom cabinets and shelves; renovating a bathroom; hanging pictures and window treatments; repairing a patio and fence; and designing and installing an energy efficient lighting system that turns lights on and off automatically based upon when rooms are occupied.
 

No matter the size of the task or project, The Small Jobs Company prides itself on offering quality, affordable work that is always guaranteed. The company is also fully insured and licensed to work in all of Connecticut. While most work takes place in Fairfield County, The Small Jobs Company has also completed projects in Litchfield, New Haven, and Hartford counties as well. 

Jeffrey Melaragno, the owner of The Small Jobs Company, is no stranger to Fairfield. After graduating from  Fairfield University in 2001, he knew he wanted to stay in the town that had become home. Jeff has lived in the Fairfield home that he bought and renovated since graduating, and he also enjoys being part of several organizations based in and around Fairfield.  He has over seventeen years of experience in improving homes and making them more liveable.
